Good Morning! On of my favorite Hobbies is fishing and one of my favorite fish to catch is a trout. As a kid I remember my Grampa pulling in a fish and seeing the Green back and the pink stripe. This one year at Ririe Resivouir  in the fall he was catching them non stop and The green on their backs were so many different colors of green, ranging from yellow green to Tourqouise. So pretty. and she was my inspiration,.

 I don't like the hair around her breasts, looks like it's falling unaturally. The flowers need work. and ive never really painting rocks before and they are a lot more complicated then they look.

My camera is washing out her colors pretty badly to. My goal for today is to-
rework the clouds or get rid of them-
Fix the boob hair-
Make her stand out from the water a bit more-
Add shine to her hair
And add more detail to flowers.

The colors I used were Pthlalo (I love that color),  Cad Lemon, Alazarin Crimson,

Started a new painting last night, had a little birthday wine and felt like I needed to paint rabbits. Watership Down is one of my favorite books and it's a tribute to the rabbits on their warren.

Hill is done with pthalo, lemon, crimson.

I tried to add some Cerculean/Cobalt mixture to the further hills to make them feel more distancy. I feel like the upper left hill needs more to accomplish that.

  

I do work a regular 40 hour job, so the progess I make on paintings isn't always alot for the time I have to paint.

This was my project for last night. I feel like her eyes have a sorta creepy vibe to them that I need to fix and even if it's not a creepy nose it needs work too. For the shading I used Burnt Sienna, Perm Rose, Ultramarine Blue, Naples Yellow. and Minus the Blue for the rest the skin. 

Plus, background are always a struggle for me. Not that I can't do them I just get bored doing them. Typically in portrait like paintings the backgrounds get left a solid color. So I guess I did a little more here. She still needs some work though.

Okay here is my first painting I'm posting,

A cat in a tree. The colors I used are Prussian Blue, Cad lemon Yellow, Permanent rose, Tit White, Burnt Sienna. I have a hard time finishing in one sitting.

I was working on it last night and was on call at work. Used up the last canvas space with the sky colors  only to get called in. Then today I found all my colors tacky and decided this one was done for the time being. My canvas's are always so messy.

i'm starting a painting blog and very awkwardly to. I usually paint everyday and i'd like to share what i learn and troubles I'm having. I'm very new to the oil painting world compared to some of the seasoned artists out there, and am still hit many bumps. I hope to help anyone along the way that may be struggling with a same problem.
